Another year has ended for the Belleville Fire Fighters Combat Challenge Team with the presentation of a Scott Air Pack from Tom Brayton, international field service specialist of Scott Health and safety to Brian Jones for his first place finish in the over 55 category at the Canadian Scott Fire Fit Championship Finals held in Niagara Falls this past September.

The Belleville Team ( Ed Keuning, Brian Jones, Mike Bustos, Don Carter, Ray Ellis, Steve Helm, Steve Parks, Cory Black, Deacon Foster, Mike Lewis) preformed extremely well over the past year at many events, with many personal bests for everyone. Including, Jones and Keuning's second place finish in Canada over 40 relay. Steve Helm and Ryan McNaught's third place finish in Canada men's relay. Bustos' twenty ninth place finish in Canada over 35, Keuning's fifth place finish in Canada over 45 and Jones' first place finish in Canada over 55.

Jones and Keuning attended the world championships in Las Vegas in November and did very well despite the hot dry weather conditions. Jones managed to place sixth in the world for the over 55. In the over 40 tandem category Keuning and Jones had their best time ever on a tuff course in which Keuning had one of the best dummy drags of the day which got them a seventh place finish in the world, well done.

The team would like to thank the Fire Chief for his support. the Ramada Inn and Clarion Inn for the use of their facilities.
