Hope Crescent Visit

Almost one hundred neighbours on Hope Crescent in west end Belleville enjoyed our first get together two Saturdays ago, with the highlight of the afternoon due to the kindness and enthusiasm of your firefighting team.
Having a visit from the Belleville Fire Department crew with your trucks made this party an unforgettable memory for all neighbours and a super surprise for the kids! Your team of Wayne Lynch, John Lake, Craig Gerow, and Rick Matthews were gracious and accommodating to share their time and showing everyone the equipment and taking the children (of all ages) through the vehicles!

Their friendly poses for photo
oppps might not seem the "firefighter calendar" variety to them, but they will likely be admired on many neighbourhood fridges and children's bulletin boards for months to come!
We wanted to let you know how much the children appreciated all of the games, stickers, pencils and treats that you sent as well. One ten year old boy commented on Sunday morning that it had been "best time ever in his life. What could beat having the firemen come to see him ?"
Thank you on behalf of everyone on our street for this very special community service.
Yours truely,
Elaine Johnston Sue Clement Janice Coady
